International Forum on Textile Science & Engineering for Doctoral Candidates Held Its First Preparatory Meeting
The International Forum on Textile Science & Engineering for Doctoral Candidates held its first preparatory meeting in Shanghai Songjiang district on May 18th 2006 with the presence of the vice president of Dong Hua University, Zhu Shigeng and other chairpersons of the related departments. Zhang Jiayu, the President assistant and director of the graduate department of Dong Hua University, hosted the meeting.
The meeting symbolized the establishment of IFDC organization committee and the new phase the preparation work is approaching. It reported the finished work and was concerned with the discussion, assignment and arrangement of the next phase.
The deputy director of the graduate department Shu Huisheng made the work report concerning background, theme, schedule, organization structure, publicity and the development of the preparation. Then vice president Zhu Shigeng delivered a speech requiring everyone concerned to prepare for the forum fully with ^right mind, right organization and right implementation ̄, i.e. to attach great importance to the event, to collaborate effectively with duty precisely assigned and to well plan before carrying out the work so as to host the coming forum with a great success and a high standard.
The International Forum on Textile Science & Engineering for Doctoral Candidates, sponsored by the Academic Degrees Commission of the State Council and the Academic Degrees Administer and Graduate Education Department of Ministry of Education of the People¨s Republic of China, organized by Donghua University, is to be held in Donghua University, November 3 to 6, 2006 with a gathering of world experts and doctoral candidates. Focusing on the theme of ^Modern Textiles, Green Textiles ̄, the Forum seeks to broaden the horizons, activate the thoughts and encourage innovation for all participants. It will promote the internationalization of graduate education, which will strengthen the foundation for qualified personnel to implement invigorating strategies in science, technology and education.
